On January 30, 2010, PSAPeugeot Citroën announced the recall of automobiles produced at the factory in the Czech Republic Toyota Peugeot Citroën is a joint venture between the Czech Republic and Toyota. Although the company did not mention when it began recalling and how many cars were affected, Peugeot 107, Citroen C1, and Toyota Aygo's plants each produce 200,000 cars per year doing. On February 2, 2010, Toyota announced that recall could extend to Africa, Latin America, and the Middle East. On 3 February 2010, Toyota Australia announced that its accelerator pedal will be manufactured by different suppliers without having to remember an Australian car.
The 2009 Toyota recall event in Toyota involved three independent but related automobile recalls by Toyota Motor Corporation, which occurred at the end of 2009 and early 2010. Toyota began recalling with the support of the National Highway Traffic Safety Authority, but it was reported that several vehicles showed unexpected acceleration in the first two recalls of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). The first recall on 2nd November 2009 was to fix the possibility that a wrong or inappropriate side mat of the front driver's seat got into the pedal successfully and the pedal would not move. The second recall on January 21, 2010 is due to the invasion of the floor mat after the accident. The disadvantage of the latter is believed to be that the accelerator pedal is mechanically accelerated and causes unexpected acceleration known as Toyota 's accelerator pedal.
On November 25, 2009, Toyota modified the floor mat recall of 3.8 million cars sold in North America. Toyota will reconfigure the accelerator pedal, replace the all-weather type floor mat with a thinner mat, and install a brake override to prevent unnecessary acceleration. Brake override system, also known as "brake to idle speed", is already a versatile design for German cars and allows the driver to override the accelerator by braking. In the follow-up statement, the National Highway Freight Forwarding Agency (NHTSA) announces details of the recall on 25th November 2009 as a "vehicle-based remedy" to cope with the problem of the floor mat pedal did. According to Toyota, the repair done according to the invasion of the revised floor mat is as follows.
