There is little tendency for online learning in Australian higher education, but few studies have investigated factors that can predict changes in college students' online learning attitudes and their attitudes. This paper aims to investigate the attitude of 120 university students in Australia to online learning in a mixed curriculum. At the end of the course, participant's online learning attitude examined factors such as previous attitude, previous experience, motivation. The two phases of the study included pre-test and post-test, and participation in the course (based on the student's weekly and online forum transcripts) and a second phase interview. At the end of the course, I learned that students are more active in online learning. At the end of the course, the predictive factors in the online learning attitude are the previous online learning attitude and motivation.
The attitude of students to online learning is an important element in the learning environment supported by online learning tools. Attitudes of people are related to their thoughts and emotions, and how they handle attitude objects (Triandis, 1971). Strong attitudes can lead to actions and positive learning attitudes will contribute to effective use of learning strategies (Maio & Haddock, 2009). The purpose of this study was to investigate the influence of several factors on attitudes toward online learning of college students on online curriculum and attitudes toward online learning. The following sections outline the previous work on the influence of several factors on the attitudes of students' online learning attitudes, such as previous attitudes, previous experiences, and motive for learning.
