Tony Morrison and Bell Hook represent two famous and influential black writers in American literature, Hook and Tony Morrison have similar beliefs and themes in the black community. One of the themes highlighted by the two authors is the representation of blacks in today's American literature. Hook feels that African Americans are distorted, and Morrison believes that blacks are not represented at all.
