To View or Not To View

It is becoming increasingly difficult to keep in touch with the outside world over the past few years without looking at or checking the news at 10 o'clock in the evening. I often get up at 10 o'clock, but if I am, I do not want to spend time listening to the many murders, rape, and robberies that destroy our city. TV news not only has a sense like a tabloid, but the content of most news coverage is completely wasting my viewing time. However, in order to keep in touch, I currently listen to the TV news in the morning and I am reading the Chicago Tribune every day.
