Possibility of participation in the Vietnam War from the 1960s to the 1970s was a very controversial issue for many Americans. Many young Americans oppose fighting in the Vietnam War. The article "On the Rainy River" by Tim O'Brien explains the struggle of a 21-year-old American male selected in the Vietnam War. This paper presents the dilemma that the narrator does not want to participate in the war and shows the reasons. The narrator stated that "the American war in Vietnam seems to be wrong and does not see the unified objective" (40).
But where are those people going? When people leave the delta, they will travel to the northern city. They go to Chicago and go to St. Louis and Detroit. They will come to California, Los Angeles, San Francisco. They are already here. These are grounds for many problems in cities across the country. However, no one, government agencies, private organizations, etc. can realize this problem and have some authority or business to deal with it.
So let's go. Really let go. Please do not let go or let go as fashion statement so that you can teach everyone how cool you are. Let me go. See what happens quietly into the abyss. It may be difficult to let go. Lettering means you have to give up something: situation, project, idea, relationship, lover. Even giving up something usually means emptying places for the rest of life (hopefully positive) and others are usually unknown. I do not like unknown ones. The unknown may be terrible.
