Healthcare systems are a treatment system; as with other structures, it includes many social expectations about the definition of "patients". In this article I will explain how the concept of structural functionalism theory and the concept of person's pathological role are related to my personal experience. When I was diagnosed with Lyme disease, the concept was based on personal medical experience, so I was almost impossible to do daily work.

The medical community could not draw a conclusion on the exact cause of lupus, but I believe it was developed by a combination of factors such as hormones, genetics and the environment.
