For self-diagnosis of stress, my score is 335. This is to classify me as low stress category. I do not think this is perfectly accurate. Most of the 47 events that may affect your stress level in your diagnosis need to deal with financial, family, social or educational factors. In addition to family and education, I think that these factors do not necessarily affect my stress level just like any other people. I tend to emphasize more personal things like my family and inner problems and occasionally go to school.
The incidence of violent life events is high, and it is related to mental health problems. According to the report, three quarters of the students experienced at least one intense life event last year. Over 20% of the students reported that they experienced more than six stressful life events last year. Stress exposure is related to mental health examinations, self injuries, suicide. Mental health examinations and suicide are common. One in four students reported that they had been diagnosed with psychiatric disorder or received treatment in the previous year. One out of every 5 students studying suicide, 9% reported suicide attempted, nearly 20% reported suicide.
Stress is measured in three areas: health, finance and housing. When measuring pressure most researchers use the number of recent serious life events (for an overview, see Miller, 1996). However, there is a possibility that the number of life events may be misleading, especially if personal stress does not occur at a specific event. It takes time, but stress measurements in important living areas, including stress levels of subjective experiences in the fields of health, finance, housing etc, will be used. For each domain, participants will know more about their current situation. In the health section, participants were asked about health problems, pain, sleep problems, health behaviors, physician consultation and hospitalization.
