What is the best writing of American science and nature in 2014, Deborah Blum and Tim Folger, what happens when an animal cries? What is the actual cost of vaccination campaigns? Does the brain like paper? Will extinct animals survive? These and many other interesting questions are explored in this well-written, thought-provoking article. Your summer challenge is to read at least 10 of the 26 articles in the series. For each of the 10 selected articles, please answer the following questions easily, but carefully.

Several accounting notes: This list (consisting of novels, non-fiction, poetry, each list from January to December) contains only the books read from the beginning to the end . I have read a lot of books I have not completed (not necessarily because I do not like them, sometimes I do not need to read the entire article at that moment or anytime). In particular, I rarely read the cover of a poem book, so the list is the shortest. I am reading 22 nonfiction books, 20 novels, 5 poems.
