In the field of criminal justice, the real story is that the criminal justice system in the United States is built in slavery and racial discrimination. It causes police brutality, usually racial discrimination. It resulted in massive overcrowding, destruction of individuals, families, and communities. Imprisonment reduces crime. Experts did not agree on a number of studies, but most studies showed important results. This is because most people who have serious crimes are professional criminals. Of the prisoners released from state prisons in 2005, the average number of people convicted in the past was five, and the average number of previous arrests exceeded ten people.

RJ, which began with juvenile justice, first filed in the United States was a criminal and juvenile justice system. Evidence of the effectiveness of RJ in the justice system (eg Sherman & Strang, 2007) calls for a broader range of RJ intervention, especially for non-violent low-level crimes and juvenile offenders. In fact, New Zealand has been using RJ as the central framework of the juvenile justice system for nearly 25 years (Zehr, 2002). Bazemore and Schiff (2005) conducted a census on RJ practices in the US judicial system and developed a strategy to assess the quality and consistency of RJ's various approaches. At their census, a total of 773 projects were confirmed nationwide. Relatively informal practices such as recovering dialogue and criminal arbitration are the most common.
