Theoretical Perspectives on Immigration Policy and Politics

The theoretical approach to dealing with immigration policies explains three major issues, which determine the state's decision on the number, type and acceptance of immigrants accepted. Trying to consider policy outcomes, they often use different perspectives, and they believe that various factors are the main determinants. The purpose of this paper is to present some of these theoretical perspectives and compare them and make recommendations to students and scholars who are interested in immigration policies in Central and Eastern European countries.

As mentioned above, the theoretical approach discussed above was based on decades of experience in Western Europe and other immigration and immigration policies / political traditional immigrants. However, the experience of immigration control is not so long, the problem is not politicized, the immigration policy is still relatively new.

Nevertheless, in reality, each of them only explained a part of the policies / politics associated with the complexity of immigrants. At the same time, they ignored the rest.
