Theodore Geisel was born on March 2, 1904 in Springfield, Massachusetts. He graduated Dartmouth in 1925 with a bachelor's degree in English literature. He went to Europe after going to Oxford. Then he went to Sorbonne and then went to Vienna University. He plans to acquire a doctorate in literature, but his experience is not ideal, so he returned to the United States.
