Luxurious tiled ceilings, fine floors, ornate statues, and lavish sofas in the Parliament Hall have several metal grills that adorn windows in the central hall. The grill is a beautiful decoration that allows you to upgrade the dimly lit opening of the wall and fits perfectly into the building's Gothic style. However, the central hall is not the original home of the grill. Originally it was decorated in the window of the ladies' gallery at the House of Lords in 1834. Any woman who wants to see litigation or debate needs to sit behind the grill, block out the line of sight and restrict hearing.
Project Description: The Scottish Government Strategy Bureau will cooperate with the Child Council to support a range of future possibilities and the Horizon scanning program exploring how our world will change by 2021. The Scottish government promised to give advice to children and young people at the heart of the horizon scanning process. Children met with important civil servants and shared experiences and ideas in Scotland. These groups focus on eight themes that affect children's lives: games, schools and learning, families and families, relationships, communities, environment, identity.
Project Description: The Child Council, in cooperation with the Fife parent committee, will help the group of children to explore healthy, happy and safe care. Children's parliamentarians (MCPs) understand their rights, express their opinions on issues affecting themselves, and build relationships with adults who influence their lives. Children's perspective and experience will inform the firm's decision of the parent committee and will help to improve the services of Fife's children.
In 2008, a team of children participating in the Fife Children's National Assembly plan conducted a survey as part of the Scottish government's UNCRC report (2008). The children wrote an explanation on what will happen if the school reflects the rights of the child. There are 6 topics, with each topic identifying some features. To our knowledge, this is still the only child-driven, creative tool in Scotland that describes how each school should look. Whenever we return to our children's experiences and desires for school, we return to these same themes and information. They are straightforward and make the more complicated concept of excellence and impartiality a reality.
