The World of Odysseus

Odysseus World was written by Sir Moses Finley, a detailed analysis of Iliad and Odyssey. Since the actual written history does not exist, the period of history that contributed to the creation of these two phenomena is hidden from uncertainty. Homer interprets the history of this period from the story of traditional verbal poetry. This started in the late dark age and early ancient times. The information provided in Chapters 4 and 5 is easier to understand, as the first three chapters of Finley's text provide readers with an understanding of the Greek world.

The story of Odysseus has many levels of meaning. Loyalty must be seen as the theme of Odyssey and can be regarded as important to the story of Odysseus. In this section, the faithful supporters of Odysseus discuss his ideas and questions about Odysseus' own affair, how he is working even after he left for about 20 years. They fought in the war and when they tried to return to Ithaca, they believed in Odysseus. In my opinion, it is easy to overlook somehow the most faithful of all these characters, but it must be Penelope of Odysseus' wife. Even after nearly 20 years from her husband she continued to be faithful to Odysseus and refused to marry an appellant waiting for her day for everyday.

Over the years, it is a contrast between Odysseus and Penelope and the world. Odysseus opposed Cyclops, Circe, Poseidon, to block other characters. Penelope had to serve the women who fought with pursuers and made her life hell. Both struggles are related to demonstrating the way they become archetypes of gender. Penelope proposed a way to transcend the pursuit, as Odysseus took the Cyclops and used his wisdom to persuade the circus to let him go. Their personality and honesty make it a model for them and they are willing to protect the people they believe. They were separated for twenty years, but they have never left their hearts. They learn from each other and control themselves. All the lessons are to gather again. On their own, they represent what perfect men and women should be. They endure many more lives than ever.
