Introduction of the World Health Organization ============ The World Health Organization (WHO) was established in 1948 to tackle the major health problems of the world. Some of the tasks the organization is responsible for coordinating medical research, fighting the monitoring of infectious diseases worldwide, and supporting the establishment of appropriate medical services by developing countries. There are more than 150 member countries in WHO, and the head office is in Geneva, Switzerland. The goal of the World Health Organization is to "help people get the highest possible health."

According to the World Health Organization, health is defined as "not only is not sickness or weakness but complete physical, mental and social well-being".
