The Westing Game by Ellen Raskin

Westing Game has tied six different families to Barney Northrup since 4th July. These letters offer a once in a lifetime opportunity to rent an apartment with a new lavish sunset tower on the shore of Lake Michigan. However, in the movie Sunset Tower is in the city. In this book, the sunset tower is mainly made of glass and is five stories long. Both in books and movies, the sunset tower is noticed that the sun strangely faces the east, not the west where the sun is actually located.

Prior to writing the westing game, Ellen Ruskin was a very proficient graphic artist who designed dozens of books including the cover of A Wrinkle in Time by Madeleine Ren Gure. When writing a westing game, Ellen Ruskin also considered the design and layout, and finally considered the contribution to the reading experience of the story. Ellen Ruskin was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and grew up during the Great Depression. She is a writer of several novels, including westing games, clues such as the Newbury Award winning figs & phantom, tattoo potato, and Leon's mysterious disappearance (I Mean Noel). She also writes many picture books and draws illustrations and is a successful graphic artist. She designed a dust jacket for dozens of books, including the first edition of Madeleine L'Engle's classic A Wrinkle in Time. Ruskin passed away in New York on August 8, 1984 at the age of 56
