West Philadelphia Landscape Project The West Philadelphia Landscape Project has been collaborating with the community for more than 25 years to restore nature through design, strategic planning and educational programs and rebuild the community. Since 1987 they have worked in the Milk Leak community and have used their experiences to demonstrate how the population can live healthy and more economical lives. The objective of this project is to encourage the Philadelphia community to be more sustainable and to manage the Milkleek area in a way that improves local water quality.
Smith was born in West Philadelphia, Chairman of the Board of Education of Philadelphia, the son of Willard Carolsmith, refrigerator engineer, son of Caroline (Bright). He grew up in the Wynnefield community of Western Philadelphia and grew up as a Baptist church. He has three brothers and sisters, a two - year - old sister Pamela, and a three - year - old Harry and Allen. Smith went to private Catholic elementary school in Lourdes, Lourdes. His parents stayed apart at the age of 13, but in reality they did not divorce until about 2000.
