Flexible approach: a leadership model? Make sure that the model you have is consistent with traditional wisdom: praise the wisdom of all religions ... - John Hyde,? The way to leadership. Many work has been done on research, research and development of leadership models. Many models were proposed, checked, applied, and used or discarded. However, there is no "perfect" model or leadership approach yet for all of this work. Every group and situation is different, good leaders must be flexible.
First-class theorists Paul Hersey and Ken Blanchard first developed and advocated, and contextual leadership emphasizes high degree of flexibility. Managers using this leadership model can represent one of four different leadership styles: story / direction, sales / coaching, participation / guidance, delegation / observation. In other words, the "information / guidance" style mainly involves instructing workers to perform certain tasks in some way. In "Sales / Coaching" style, managers support a more rigorous approach and transition to a more interactive coaching process. In the engagement / guidance style, the administrator places more emphasis on employee input and in the delegation / observation style, the administrator makes the employees decide how to process the task
Another popular model is the situation leadership model of Hersey and Blanchard. Originally it was called the leadership lifecycle theory. The basic support of this model is not a single effective leadership style but a willingness to take on maturity, goals, skills, and team responsibilities ultimately. The latest entry into the team maturity model is Brandon Hall Group's high-performance team framework. This model focuses on four major areas: team strategy, team selection, team development, team performance. As part of the team strategy, this framework suggests that high performance teams need a consistent mission to tailor individuals and teams to the organization's goals. The team chooses to focus on team members and their communication and decision-making styles. Team development is closely related to team learning, and we learn together by interrupting assumptions and genuine thinking.
Tuckman's team development phase model is the foundation of team management and I think that most people know it. But I do not want to talk about team management, I would like to discuss team leadership. If the manager only assigns tasks, the leader strives to realize the potential of team members by achieving the goals of the project. I believe that leadership is a more viable and healthy way to achieve amazing results, as today no one wants to be viewed as a resource. Traditional models should be seen from this perspective
