After the high school history teacher, held in Palo Alto, California in 1969, the real story is that fast and short books on the dangers of collective operation, Nazi Germany's excessive lesson in World War II. Through the experiment, the teacher finally brainwashed most children to the fascist group called Wave, and the students were interested in how German citizens allowed Holocaust to happen on another level. Now I can not be sure how accurate this book is for a real story, but given the current social and political situation, I will definitely see the situation in modern America I can imagine. This book reminds me how easy it is to repeat history in the right circumstances.

Early commentators may not be able to foresee the future of this book as a ubiquitous educational tool. As a work of modern adult novel, a lot of people think that it failed. Atlantic critics called the book "a good hammock reading", "sweet water with humor", and "comfortable, not strict reading."
