The War at Sea

When the First World War broke out in 1914, the British navy was stronger than any other navy in the world. The Germans and the French also have huge naval forces, and the Allied forces and the central government are going to dominate the waterways.

The First World War is when the New US Navy first saw the fight. Marine warfare is not frequently worried on the Western Front, but the control of the maritime communication line and the neutrality of the British Navy against the German Fleet is extremely important to the ability of the Allies to fight and win. The biggest threat to threatening this is the German submarine attack that blocks the UK and attempts to break off the Atlantic Ocean link. Military ships and escort ships increased due to American industrial efforts and the American ship played an important role in limiting the freedom of movement of German submarines in laying the mine dam between the North Sea Scotland and Norway. Like the war in the North Sea and the Atlantic, the Naval Operation in the Mediterranean is not a conflict between fighting fleets, but mainly on the use of small spaceships, and ultimately submarines. The beginning of the war faced the navy of France and Austria - Hungarian empire. Austria - Hungarians do not want to seek an open battle because their fleet and the French fleet are significantly inferior. Therefore, the first action of the war was done by Germany. Admiral Wilhelm Schieunon (1864-1946), the commander of the Mediterranean Division of Germany, was not trapped in the French army but was selected from the base of the Adriatic Navy. His troops consisted of battle cruiser and light cruiser, steam in the Dardanelles Strait, and after arriving in Turkey after escaping from British squadrons. The Allied Force forcibly opened the Strait, tried to drive the Ottoman Empire out of war and lead to failure.
