The Voice of the Chimney Sweepers

William Black (1757-1827) lived a relatively happy life. At a very young age, he insisted that he could see God, angels and other important Italian characters. Black parents encouraged him to record all the masters that he claimed to be in contact. Black father, James Black left a record with him leaving behind the actors and prints. At the age of 10, Black started painting at a painting school called Henry Pals. Three years later he became an apprentice to sculptor James Basire. After working with Basire for seven years, he went on to Royal College of Art and continued his research on paintings, paintings and prints.
