The Victorian Era and Now

In the Victorian era, people were restricted by rich social rules, most of them were divided by class. Marriage is influenced by the available social advantage, morality is set to strict standards, which is very contradictory. In the meantime, interest in supernatural has also increased, but it is easy to bring up considerable controversy. In literature, the Victorian attitude towards love, morality, and supernatural phenomena still exists in some works of today's world.

The 18th and 19th centuries were defined as Romanticism and the Victorian era. The romantic era was between 1780 and 1850, characterized by enlightenment. On the other hand, the Victorian era is between 1837 and 1901. The Victorian era is characterized by cultural reform, industrial reform, elegant life, war, progress in science, and poverty. As controversial, the 18th and 19th centuries can be defined as Romanticism and the Victorian era. Romanticism and Victorian women 's lives are mainly focused on family dedication. As they are considered clean and pure, they can not be used for physical activity and their bodies are not decorated with jewels (Mary 123). They are also not used for things like happy sex. According to Victorian masculinity, their most important role is to lean towards the house and children, unlike men.

The Victorian character is not gender equality but a clear difference between them. From the end of the 19th century from 1837 to 1901 until the end of the 19th century, the British Victorian era was famous. This is the reign of Queen Victoria in the UK. From these two sexes, the difference between male and female roles can understand the role of sex in this period. Women are not generally assigned to responsible tasks. She wants to have a child, and she takes care of the house. They can neither vote nor litigate. Women can not possess property either. There is no legitimate remark on women. Even if marriage divorces, the property of a married woman belongs to her husband.
