The Use of Alternative Energy

Our oil and oil resources are depleted. New oil reserves are discovered every year, but their amount is not the same as our annual consumption. Oil produces carbon dioxide, which warms the greenhouse. Many solutions are discussed, such as the use of biofuels such as ethanol as wind power, sunlight, coal, and alternative fuel sources to reduce the demand for petroleum or oil as an energy source. In this article I will explain the strengths and weaknesses of alternative energy sources and see if they are an alternative to oil as an energy source.

There are several renewable energy sources that can be used as an energy source for alternative energy sources such as geothermal, wind and hydropower. Like non-renewable energy, renewable energy also has advantages and disadvantages. Their greatest strengths are infinite resource supply and environmental harm. Geothermal energy is the heat inside the earth, also called geothermal energy. "Geothermal energy can be divided into four categories: dry steam, hot water, geological pressurization and heat, dry rock resources" (Tillery, 2009, p. 70). This form of energy is near the inner surface of the earth and its temperature reaches a much higher level than we feel at the surface. As water and lava go up from the center of a volcano or geyser, a liquid temperature will be generated that results in the same result as supplying energy using fossil fuels.

Alternative energy is an alternative energy source for fossil fuels. These alternatives are designed to address concerns about fossil fuels, such as high carbon dioxide emissions, an important element of global warming. Ocean energy, hydroelectric power, wind energy, geothermal energy and solar energy are all alternative energy sources. Over time, the nature of alternative energy sources has changed dramatically. It is also a controversy over energy use. The definition of several energy types as "alternative means" is considered to be very controversial due to the choice of different energies and different goals of supporters.

Alternative energy is an energy source that does not have undesirable effects, such as fossil fuels or nuclear energy. Alternative energy sources are renewable and are considered "free" energy sources. They all have lower carbon emissions than traditional energy sources. These include biomass, wind power, sunlight, geothermal power, hydraulic power and so on. Combined with recycling, the use of clean alternate energy sources such as home solar power systems will help to ensure the survival of humans after the 21st century.
