Throughout history, society has taken down alcoholic substances that change our physical or mental state. There are many experiences and pressures that make people feel they have to drink to deal with life, but as with other drinks, it is part of everyday life for many alcohol. Alcohol is introduced to us in various ways through our family, television, movies, and friends. When trying to understand the interrelationship between alcohol and human behavior, these "social and cultural variations are at least as important as physical and psychological variants."

Addiction threatens not only people who drink alcohol but also surrounding communities. Therefore, society around the world is trying to suppress excessive use of alcohol. A mild society from the 19th century to the 20th century promoted the law from the arrest and imprisonment of public alcohol addiction to the production, distribution and consumption prohibition of alcoholic beverages. Today, experts explain alcohol use disorders as a form of disease, it is very common and it constitutes a major public health problem. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), alcoholism and other alcohol use disorders can harm worldwide health that represents 5% of the worldwide health. This number is equal to the harm caused by unsafe sex than the other two strong healthy partners, tobacco and illegal drugs. Even in the United States alone, the NIAAA estimates that alcohol abuse leads to productivity, illness and premature death, resulting in annual losses of over $ 185 billion

Most of the adverse health effects of drug abuse lead to disease and premature death. Every year about 28% of deaths can be attributed to the use of tobacco, alcohol and illegal drugs. Of these deaths, tobacco accounts for the largest proportion directly. Alcohol and illegal drugs can cause direct death, but it is highly likely to cause fatal accidents and murder. Death due to substance abuse is likely to occur due to the use of substances from adult adolescence

Drug abuse and drug dependence are considerable problems in today's society. They are the main cause of preventable diseases, disability and death in the United States. Alcohol / chemical dependency diseases affect not only individuals, but also all elements of families, workplaces and communities. Chemical abuse includes not only alcohol and illegal drugs, but also prescription drugs such as sedatives, analgesics, sleeping pills, etc. Drugs and alcohol in the workplace may have a significant impact on overall cost, performance quality, efficiency, and productivity. Drugs can make it possible for individuals to handle tasks that are too difficult or too dangerous for themselves. Medicine may be careless of individuals and may forget important safety measures leading to an increased incidence of accidents. Drugs can lead to absenteeism or late increase, which can adversely affect the workload of other employees.
