In William Faulkner's novel "The Unvanquished", honor takes precedence in the whole novel. Like Ab Snopes, there is something lacking in honor. But Bayard and his grandmother Granny have lots of honors. Grandma died, but it was the death of glory and brought honor to Bairard. Beyard is a changing young man as his growth is also true. Finally, he expressed honor in various ways. Ab Snopes is a spoiled and growing character.
