The University of South Africa and the British Open University

Introduction Distance educational institutions began with a similar focus on providing higher education for students who were unable to participate in the traditional physical school environment. But these schools are by no means the same. This paper aims to investigate similarities and differences between OUs of developing countries, OUISA, and developed countries by comparing South Africa University (UNISA) and Open University of England (OU).
