The United States Coast Guard and National Defense

Coast Guard (CG) is the smallest army in the United States, the most misunderstood army. Most Americans know that the Coast Guard is the country's best life-saving service. There may even be people who know that the Coast Guard is the oldest consecutive maritime service in the United States. The Coast Guard belongs to UCMJ like the other four branches, but they often work side by side, especially the Navy; in peacetime, the Coast Guard usually accepts very different mission training from the Department of Defense.

The American Coast Guard Academy was one of the US Naval Guard Academy and opened in 1876. The US Coast Guard Academy was founded in the US Coast Guard to prepare students for the role of the US Coast Guard. By registering with the US Coast Guard Academy, students can learn to acquire 8 different majors including civil engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, naval architecture, operations research, marine and environmental science, government and management I guess.
