I spent the last 13 years of my life at the US military, mainly knew only one law, the Military Unification Code or UCMJ. Now I am transitioning to learn how to become a civilian and enter into a criminal justice position. I'm really interested in similarities and differences between these two different laws and regulations. According to www.ucmj.us on 30th June 1775, the Second Continental Congress enacted 69 war clauses to manage the military's behavior.
The foundation of the military law is a unified military judicial law. Therefore, as long as it remains in military life, the Unified Military Court Code will be applied to all regular members 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The UCMJ document outlines the behavior of each crime and unacceptable things and punishments. Customs and courtesy played a role in the military field, but why? What is the relationship between courtesy and discipline? Courtesy is defined as polite behavior, elegant attitude or courtesy, or polite gesture. Therefore, military courtesy is polite behavior for advanced and under-grade people. It always respects the elderly and appropriate actions, discipline, prompt execution of orders and maintains separation of orders. Customs and courtesy are used in both private and military fields. As we are receiving "disciplinary action", customs is what we do in the military.
Specific rules governing military personnel actions include, but are not limited to, Chapter X of the United States Code, Land Law, Code of Conduct, Uniform Military Justice Act (UCMJ), Commander's Intention, Engagement Rules, Promotion Orders, and It is a pledge. Also, there are five level themes and an ethical compass in elementary school. Unfortunately, there are no regulations covering all human conditions, so there is no contradiction between legal action and ethical behavior. For example, although the law stipulates that it is wrong to target civilians during battle, the enemy's decision to fight in hiding in the crowd is under the name of self-defense or military need Often it leads to death of civilians. In such a case, there are usually no special rules for guiding police officials' behavior. Therefore, you must rely on personality to choose the most appropriate action plan.
