This is an article about my impression of Scott Cunningham's "The Truth of the Witch of the Day". To explain my comment, I need to state something about something I really do not care about. I have been introduced to Wicca before, I know a lot of Wicca, and sometimes I will consider Wicca. However, after reading this article, I can call it a "magic without exercise" I keep mind about magical beliefs, but I have never tried magical actions.
Most religions have worship organizations regardless of their size. As Scott Cunningham wrote in "The Truth About The Witchcraft", Wicca has a group called Covens, usually more than 33 members. (The truth about The Witchcraft 79) Coven is a group of Wiccans, usually connected with enlightenment and centered on one or two leaders for religious and magical purposes. These leaders are known as high priests and high priests. Clerics are Wiccans who led or co-led the ritual, or acquired a high level of proficiency, achievement, and wisdom.
Since that was settled, let's see past magic. Technically it dates back to the Paleolithic age of 40,000 years ago, but the witch was founded in the UK in the 20th century. There are secret magic in the UK, and they study works of writers like Margaret Murray. Over time, there will be more books written on handcraft items such as Gardner's books about the Gardner tradition. Other writers such as Scott Cunningham, Paul Huson, etc. This is getting more and more into the strange but charming Magick world.
Visit the library or check Amazon's books by writers such as Janet, Stuart Farrar, Phyllis Curott, Scott Cunningham, Patricia Telesco. These are excellent entry books. I recommend you to check some of Basil E. Crouch's books. The discovery that "the dark side of the moon is a perfect process of magic and magical". This is a good start to learn more about the art of Wiccans, Pagans, Witches. Read these first book bibliographies to find ideas to read further
