Romeo Montague (Italian: Romeo Montechi) is the protagonist of William Shakespeare's tragedy "Romeo and Juliet's tragedy". Lord Montague's son and his wife, Mrs. Montague married secretly affectionate Juliet, a member of the Capulet family, and handed a priest named Friar Laurence. Romeo was forced to exile without killing Juliet's cousin, Tim Bart, in a battle. The origin of the character can be traced back to Pyramus which appeared in the metamorphosis of Ovid, but Romeo's first contemporary body was Mariotto, 33rd in Il Novellino (1476) of Masuccio Salernitano. This story was adapted from Luigi da Porto to Giulietta e Romeo in 1524 (released after 1531, released later). Da Porto nominated the role Romeo Montecchi, his story is almost identical to Shakespeare's adaptation.
