The city was forgotten, lost, covered with vegetation, and covered with ordered forests. The temple is a side tree with a vine mesh and fern walls. Tropical rain hit the collapsing surface of a stone building built by workers' military. Night darkness led by owl and parrot screams. The statue of idols is along the rest of the stone wall. American lawyer John Lloyd Stevens and British artist Frederick Carterwood rediscovered the glory of Tikal Maya civilization until 1839.
El Remate, Guatemala is located on the outskirts of the famous ancient Mayan ruins civilization Tikal. Just as our CS host Jane finds ancient Mayan jewelry in the backyard ... it is not so. Two days before the crash, I sent a message to Jane through the CS website. She quickly confirmed, handed in my Whatsapp number and sent my picture of this place. Though it exceeded, thank you very much. We arrived there late at night after sunset, there was her house everywhere and lighted some Christmas lights. Jane has made a private room for us with three separate beds and a brand new mattress for us (plastic still exists, you know that I have to check). This is not her full-time house, as she was testing the water to build a dormitory, but she is there while we are. She will make breakfast, dinner and dessert for us! We were shocked by the feeling of accepting her hospitality and us.
Guatemala is now rooted in the great Mayan civilization, which concentrates in independent cities in southern Mexico and Central America. Beginning in 2000 BC, Maya civilization has made tremendous achievements in astronomy, written languages, architecture, art and religion. Some of these accomplishments, including huge stone temples and Petittikar pyramids, are still appreciating us today. However, the Mayan city state is also very militaristic, usually fighting each other and spending most of its energy and resources on military activities. The preference for this war may lead to a strange annihilation of Maya civilization 900 years ago. When the Spaniards arrived, about 1 million violent fights with indigenous peoples prompted their conquest. By 1650, the majority of indigenous peoples were destroyed by illness, war, exploitation, and the number was reduced to about 200,000.
