The Three Theban Plays by Sophocles

Even if pride is sometimes good, it is harmful, it is an emotion that can make or destroy someone. "Pride can only cause a fight, but those who accept counsel will find wisdom" (Manimtim-Proverbs 13: 10). In the three Theban plays translated by Robert Faggs, Sophocles, this proposal is something Kleon and Oedipus do not want to hear.
