Three levels of corporate strategy strategy can be developed at three different levels. • Company level, • Business unit level, • Function level or departmental level strategy is company's competition and survival, products are developed for each business unit. The role of the company is to manage business units and products so that departments and products are competitive and contribute to business. Enterprise Level Strategy An enterprise-level strategy basically focuses on the selection of companies to which companies should compete and for the development and adjustment of corporate portfolios.
Companies can use three main strategies. In this article I will explain the enterprise level strategy. This is a strategy to deal with the operation of organizations across multiple business fields (Robbins, Bergman, Stagg, Coulter, 2000, p. 275). It further determines how to adjust the growth strategy and allocate resources to enhance the competitiveness of the organization. Corporate organizations can choose to grow, maintain, or sell.
The strategy can be developed at three different levels called enterprise level, business unit level, functional level or basic level. The enterprise level strategy mainly includes business selection and business portfolio development where the organization will enter the competition. These things are like determining the overall goal of the company, the type of business the organization needs to be involved in, and the overall way of business integration and management. A second level strategy to classify as a business unit level is to develop and maintain the competitive advantage of products manufactured by the company.
The organization is operated at three strategic levels. Enterprise level strategy, business level strategy, and operational or functional strategy. Its strategy is organized throughout the organization and the business strategy is "focused on how to compete in specific industry or product market segments" (Beard & Dess, 1981: 667, Hofer & Schendel, 1978). The operational strategy is how organizations use various resources to complete the first two strategies. To make an organization profitable, it is important to make effective strategies at all levels, but successful business strategy is essential to the success of business strategy.
