The Threat of Cyberwarfare and Cyberterrorism

In the United States, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is used to compel terrorism to forcefully target government, civilians, or parts thereof to achieve politically or socially appropriate goals. I treat it as a violent act (Schmalleger & Pittaro, 2009). However, with the advent of the Internet, you can achieve compulsion and intimidation without force or violence (Schmalleger & Pittaro, 2009; Stohl, 2007). Weimann (2005) defines cyber terrorism as using network network tools to "shut down important domestic infrastructure" (quoted from Stohl, 2007, p.).

The term "cyber terrorism" can be used in a variety of ways, but its use is restricted. Attacks on the Internet business are sometimes called cyber terror, but when it is used for economic motivation rather than ideology it is often considered a cyber crime. The treaty also restricts the indication of "cyber terror" to the behavior of individuals, independent groups, or organizations. Any form of cyber war between the government and the state is regulated by international law and punished.

Many people believe that cyber terrorism is an extreme threat to the national economy and fear that this attack could lead to a new Great Depression. Some leaders believe that cyber terrorism has the highest percentage of threats to other US territories. Natural disasters are thought to be the greatest threat and have been proven to be destructive to humans and land, but few are able to stop such incidents. Therefore, it is expected to pay more attention to preventive measures to make Internet attacks impractical.

• Potential threats from cyber terrorism are causing considerable vigilance. Many security experts, politicians and others have announced the risk of cyber terrorists invading government and private computer systems, paralyzing the military, financial and service sectors of developed countries. • Psychological, political and economic forces are jointly promoting the fear of cyber terrorism. From a psychological point of view, two of the greatest fears of the day were combined into the term "terrorist terror". The fear of random violent damage is well integrated with distrust and fear of computer technology.
