The Theme of Nature Versus Nurture in Shelly's Frankenstein

Nature and culture are arguments about the quality of human births and the importance of personal experiences and will raise them to today's level. "Your mother and your father's freckles are your green eyes, but where did you get the talent for excitement and singing?" (Kimberly Powell). Kimberly raised the question that has been sought for centuries: "Do you understand this growth, or whether you inherit these characteristics? One of Frankenstein's themes is nature It is cultivation.

In Frankenstein, various topics were introduced. Dangerous knowledge, lofty nature, nature and cultivation, monsters, secrets and guilt. I chose a theme as nature and cultivation. Nature is a natural characteristic of a person, child rearing is the environment surrounding one person. This novel argues indirectly whether personal development is affected by nature or whether it is influenced by JVC and monster cultivation. In the novel, Victor grew up with care and addiction by two happy parents.

Nature represents the biological characteristics of life that is handed down by birth, and cultivation represents the quality that living things draw out of society. In the novel "Frankenstein", Mary Shelley said that if society has no influence on him, nature and cultivation through depiction, setting and satire to show that creatures created by Frankenstein will not become monsters I will draw a theme. Discussion on nature and cultivation is a common theme among Mary Sherry 's Frankenstein. In the novel, readers are exposed to atrocities committed by the creatures of Victor Frankenstein. The question is "Is the nature of the monster malignant, or is it such an environment that makes it violent act committed by it?" In fact, the nature of monsters and how society responds to their existence may be the cause of homicide appearing in novels.

When Mary Shirley wrote Frankenstein, she talked about an attractive and transcendent story and naturally blended the theme of child rearing. Even without knowledge of genes and DNA, ordinary people can learn that this monster becomes a cruel beast for the first time after reading a book and failing attempts are loved by his creators. Initially, Frankenstein felt he would improve society by creating life. After his mother's death, a sad feeling urged Victor to create a world without death. But when he saw the dark yellow eyes of the creatures open by "semi-off light" (Shirley 60), he soon began to betray his creation. When a sign of life appeared, the pure shock and fear he felt was too large for Frankenstein. Frankenstein said the monster said, "I did not hear it, I extended my hand, it seems to hold me, I ran away and hurried downstairs" (Shelly 61)
