In South America, anthropologists have studied and analyzed many indigenous peoples. Tapi Lapa Indians are Brazilian indigenous people who are influenced by other Brazilian indigenous people and have a very interesting culture influenced by Europeans. Most ethnographic studies of the Tapirapanese Indians were conducted by Herbert Valdas and Charles Wagley from the early 1900's to the 1970's. In this article, I analyze languages, power, social relations, material practices, belief systems, and the institutions and rituals of Tapirapé Indians and discuss how each category plays a role in that culture I will.
