Sustainable destination certification is an approval sign for destinations that systematically reduce the negative impact of tourism. In addition to providing comfortable experiences for visitors, destinations must also protect the local nature, culture, environment, increase social value, and be economically viable. Municipalities and the tourism industry need to closely cooperate to confirm that the destination lives and is the best place to visit.
The central territory of Norway includes the western part of Scandinavia and the northernmost region, and the remote locations Jan Mayen and Svalbard are also part of the Norway kingdom. Antarctica Peter 1 island and the second Antarctic Bouvet Island are dependent areas and therefore are not considered part of the kingdom. Norway also claims to be known as Queen Mode Land as part of Antarctica. From the Middle Ages to 1814, Norway was part of the Kingdom of Denmark. When Norway was handed to Sweden at the Keel Treaty in the North Atlantic, Faroe Islands, Greenland and Iceland, it remained in Denmark. Norway also includes Bohuslän until 1658, Jämtland and Härjedalen until 1645, Shetland and Orkney until 1468, and Hebrides and Isle of Man until the 1266 Perth Treaty.
There are two inseparable foreign territories in Norway. It is the only developed island of the same name with Jan Mayen Island and Svalbard archipelago, located several miles north. In Antarctica and Antarctica, there are three dependencies of Bouvet Island, Peter I Island, Queen Maud Land. Until Norway officially annexed the region on June 12, 2015, there are undeveloped areas between Modeland and the South Pole on most maps. There are 96 villages in Norway. In most cases, the boundary of the city is connected to the boundary of each city. Local species and large seabird habitat can be found on the island, often caught on a steep cliff. Bear Island is dotted with glacial layers, caves and isolated rocky pillars. World Environment Day is a powerful reminder and attractive to all of us. We can all take measures to become a better citizen of the planet and can fulfill our role to ask our policy makers to do the same.
