The Study of Motivation

Pathan (2010) is paying attention to another motivating aspect of Pakistani undergraduate students. His findings suggest that Pakistani English learners are motivated by two motives, but the overall motivation is not to the target linguistic society but to the English elite of the country Please be aware that it is. Twenty years after Edward Deci studied the effects of endogenous motivation, Richard Ryan, his student and co-founder of self-determinism later began to study the behavior of external motivation. Like Ed Deci, Richard Ryan wants to study the feelings of motivation. Until this point (around 1989), most of the motivational science work focused on internal dichotomy and external motive dichotomy. These two motives are opposite each other. The endogenous motive is very good, the external motive is very bad. However, Richard Ryan considers this dichotomy to be too simple. Therefore, he began to study the various ways people relate to extrinsic behavior (Ryan & Connell, 1989). Sometimes, we are responsible for our duties, housework and work. We felt that they were very meaningful as well. At other times, we may do this to avoid guilt and outrage.

In this research, motivation of students ranged from intrinsic motivation to external motivation based on self-determinism (Deci & Ryan, 1985). Students can stimulate students' enthusiasm through interests, excitement, confidence, and learning activities. On the other hand, they may also be driven by external factors such as stress, paraphrase or other people's recognition (Deci & Ryan, 1985; Ryan & Deci, 2000). Previous studies have reported the impact of motivation on student's online learning attitudes (Mullen & Tallent-Runnels, 2006; Paechter, Maier & Macher, 2010). Motivated students want to learn more actively in online environment
