This story begins after the collapse of the Soviet Union. My parents moved from Ukraine to Canada and became the fourth wave of immigration. This wave began in 1991 and still exists in today's society. Eastern Europe also collapsed when the Soviet Union collapsed. Ukrainian citizens voluntarily migrate to various countries. My parents are one of many couples who decided to explore different countries for a better future. In the lives of them and their families, the situation in Ukraine was very unstable.

My parents were taken away by the Nazis from the house of Ukraine. Nazis informed each family member in the Ukrainian region that they asked family members to provide work for the German war job. My father is 19 years old and my mother is 17 years old. At the end of the war, the Germans were in trouble and needed more soldiers to form a national army to fight Russians. They accepted when Ukrainian boys - about 20 years old - were said to be able to fight Communism and Russians

I was born in the Carpathian Mountains of Ukraine at the end of August 1992. My hometown gave me a feeling of pride. I was born in the center of Futurishna in Ukraine. Hutsuls is a country living in the Carpathian Mountains of Ukraine. They have their own culture and their own history. I am not a real Hutsul; but when my legacy really comes back to them I will not be surprised. My mother's parents were born in the Carpathian Mountains, and even if their parents were Hutsuls I would not be surprised. Most nationalities are composed of sub ethnic groups and form a larger ethnic group. Ukraine is no exception
