The Space Race

On 2 September 1945, the two most powerful countries in the world fell into a war of pride and power known as the Cold War. The Soviet Union and the United States fought fiercely for the reputation of being respected in the coming years. These two countries actively promote politics, weapons and science to become the world's greatest country. These behaviors and attitudes greatly facilitated the need for space exploration and rapidly promoted the pursuit of changing history forever. Space competition has many motivations and many things to keep the competition.

Space competition between America and the Soviet Union is a bilateral competition over quality space technology. There are both victory and tragedy in this game. The first tragedy of the space race was even that that happened. During President Eisenhower, the United States originally intended to not participate in space competition with the Soviet Union. But this is a fact. These two countries are already participating in the intense competition of the Cold War, and space competition is only to intensify this competition.

In 1957, the Soviets introduced Sputnik 1 into the Earth's orbit using a missile. When the United States hurried to launch its own satellite, arms race developed into space competition. Space competition is an opportunity for both countries to demonstrate their technological superiority. On October 4, 1957, the Soviet Union launched the first orbiting satellite Sputnik I. On November 3 they launched dogs named their first creature, Laika, Sputnik II. (Essortment.com, 2010) In the 1980s, US President Ronald Reagan called the Soviet Union "an empire of evil" and predicted it would be a mountain of history. He announced an important weapon making, and SDI (Strategic Defense Plan) is also known as "Star Wars". The Soviet Union could not return to its original state because economics was too weak. In 1985, Mikhail Gorbachev became leader of the Soviet Union. He took an attitude of reconciliation to Americans and signed many agreements to reduce weapons.
