The Space Race

Space race; space exploration for over 20 years. That competitor, the United States against the Soviet Union. It is less than 12 years old, but adds knowledge about the sky and over the skies above the universe. It includes over 30 overall successful launches and brings new success with every bad mistake. These releases enhance the overall understanding of the space and bring new ideas and problems to people's minds. SF stands out from the ideas brought by the event.

Space competition between America and the Soviet Union is a bilateral competition over quality space technology. There are both victory and tragedy in this game. The first tragedy of the space race was even that that happened. During President Eisenhower, the United States originally intended to not participate in space competition with the Soviet Union. But this is a fact. These two countries are already participating in the intense competition of the Cold War, and space competition is only to intensify this competition.

In 1957, the Soviets introduced Sputnik 1 into the Earth's orbit using a missile. When the United States hurried to launch its own satellite, arms race developed into space competition. Space competition is an opportunity for both countries to demonstrate their technological superiority. On October 4, 1957, the Soviet Union launched the first orbiting satellite Sputnik I. On November 3 they launched dogs named their first creature, Laika, Sputnik II. (Essortment.com, 2010) In the 1980s, US President Ronald Reagan called the Soviet Union "an empire of evil" and predicted it would be a mountain of history. He announces the creation of important weapons and SDI (Strategic Defense Program) is also known as "Star Wars". The Soviet Union could not return to its original state because economics was too weak. In 1985, Mikhail Gorbachev became leader of the Soviet Union. He took an attitude of reconciliation to Americans and signed many agreements to reduce weapons.

After the satellite was launched in 1957, Americans' fear of the military superiority that the Soviet Union may acquire helped to ignite the first space race, former President Ronald Reagan won the 1980s I tried to build air defense with Star Wars plan. Missiles are used to prevent nuclear missile attacks. But over the past few decades, the universe has become a field of peaceful exploration and cooperation, and its typical Russian rocket carried American astronauts to the International Space Station.
