Recognizing the serious fiscal situation in Illinois, the Illinois Library Association is concerned that the role of libraries in the economic and cultural lives of Illinois citizens may be under-represented in current and future bargaining negotiations I will. In order to prevent this under-display, the ILA Advertising Committee sponsored the 1st day snapshot of "Illinois state library life". Denise Zielinski of DuPage Library System announced this idea at the first meeting of the committee held in September.
Today, the Connecticut Library celebrates "Snapshot Day: One Day in Connecticut Library Life." Snapshot Day is sponsored by the Connecticut Library Association, the Connecticut State Library, and the Connecticut Library Alliance. The goal is to explain the great role that local libraries play in the community by accurately grasping what happened to each library on this day. Today there is nothing special, this is just a typical day in April, but there are things always happening in the library.
So, that is a snapshot of some of the days without a government life. My explanation on this day may sound very far away when I first started reading. However, if you think about it, it is not only realistic, it can be even worse. What happens if your house has a fire? You can not call the fire department. President Lincoln said in a Gettysburg speech that the government is both a citizen and a citizen. What does "person" mean? In other words, the government and its employees (police, firefighters, road workers, security inspectors, terrorist experts) will protect us only if our people are willing to pay for this protection I can do it. Payment method? Of course it is due to tax. Perhaps we do not like them, but taxes will pay to protect our health, our safety, the quality of life, and even the services of life itself.
