Material and ideological conditions are an integral part of the market community and they change the view towards today's market society. To explain what Polanyi calls "big change", I will explain the transition from traditional society to market society. Then I will talk about the changes that have taken place in the workplace, the impact on these workers, and the world view of people in the market community. Polanyi considers market economy to be a market society when land, labor and capital are all commoditized (Polanyi, 1957).
When the traditional society is more closely related to the global economy and society, the transition period begins; this period is characterized by increased importance of education and market economy. When schools and health centers emerge, traditional society will pass. Urbanization, and even the possibility of moving to town, weakened the old system. The structure of families and societies changed during these changes, but these changes are often insufficient to fully exploit new medical services.
Epidemiological transformation: Impact on developing countries' policies and plans: minutes of the workshop
Division of work focuses on the transformation from traditional society to modern society and the change brought about by the transformation. Traditional society can be considered to have mechanical solidarity, but modern society can be regarded as having organic solidarity. Communication, transportation, and increased interaction with other people are driving the transformation from traditional society to modern society. Anomie is a country where social norms and guidance collapse. Anomie is caused by rapid social change from division of labor and traditional society to modern society. It can lead to personal isolation, frustration and social deprivation. Durkheim noted that higher or lower than normal social integration may lead to suicide.
In traditional society, collective consciousness is dominated, social norms are strong, and social behavior is well regulated. In modern society, the purpose is to restore the normal activities of society, the common consciousness is not so obvious, and the adjustment of social behavior is not punitive and it is not restorative. If individuals in the structural unit are similar and self-sufficient, mechanical solidarity will occur. For example, in traditional societies, people rarely need to have broad social contact with others, because people do not have to rely on others to make their own food, make their own clothes and meet the needs of daily life There is none.
Durkheim's division of labor focuses on the transition of society from a simple society to a more complex society. He believes that traditional society consists of homogeneous people who are about the same in terms of values, religious beliefs, and background. In contrast, modern society consists of complex division of labor, beliefs and backgrounds. In traditional society, collective consciousness is dominated, social norms are strong, and social behavior is well regulated. In contemporary society, common consciousness is not so obvious, coordination of social behavior is less punishment, more restitutional, and aims to restore the normal activities of society.
