The Secret Sky

From a number of perspectives, this is a story about taboo love between Prutan men and Hazard women. Their culture prohibits them from marrying, their culture also prohibits them from meeting alone; they can work only with an approved escort.

When Samiullah returned to his childhood village, he got acquainted with his old friend Fatima. Two long-time friends discovered that they felt they were not just friendship with each other, but because they were stated that they could not be together. Though they all know that if they are caught, they all know that they will be in great danger, but they have found a way to be alone (though the relationship is platonic).

This story emphasizes the conflicts and conflicts that ordinary Afghans must face everyday.

Their secret gathering was discovered by Samira 's cousin Rashid. Rashid came back from a radical Taliban refugee camp. There he trained fighter aircraft. He is enthusiastic about ensuring that everyone complies with the Islamic law, or at least his legal edition. He can not wait to report his discovery and knows exactly what kind of problem it causes.

This story emphasizes the conflicts and conflicts that regular Afghans must face on a daily basis. Because they deal with conflicts with old customs, religious idealists, and contemporary erosion of contemporary reality. Author Atia Abawi is from Afghanistan. When she was a journalist she lived in Afghanistan for five years. She witnessed various events that led to the writing of this book.

This book is written quite well and presents topics that need to be understood, although not frequently discussed, at least as much as an outsider can understand. By using this book in class, I think that you can understand different cultures more clearly and it will be a starting point for discussion. A glossary is included at the end of the Afghan word used by the author throughout the article
