Thompson's books are built around illustrations drawn in similar styles, but the book here looks larger and more scalable. They have a complete two page exploded view; at least with a hard cover, each figure is approximately 11 × 17 inches. They are full of the same intensive, busy, creative, strange and interesting parts as the illustration of the puzzle.

In other words, Thompson's books are completely painted and only the smallest stories connect them. Sometimes the focus of the story is difficult to decipher. This is not the case.
