The Scottsboro Trials of the 1930´s

On March 25, 1931, nine men took a freight train. They know little about the subsequent events. Fraud and racial discrimination, Scottsboro trial is more than just ordinary affair. The Scotsboro test changed the way the United States thinks about apartheid. Nine young people who got on that day train were innocent and harmless. Lee's novel took up this case and caused a fictitious incident by Tom Robinson and Tom Robinson was accused of raping a lower class white girl in a small town in Alabama during the Great Depression. Scottsboro's trial is the main source of inspiration for Lee's novel, and the situation of the novel is different from the scandal in real life, but the similarities between the two are very abundant.
