The tourism industry is one of the largest industries in the UK and is worth around 75.9 billion pounds. • Gross domestic product (GDP) is defined as the total value of all goods and services produced in that area over a period of time (most commonly yearly). In this article, we explain the influence of tourism on natural resources, environmental pollution, and physical environment. We will also explain the impact of tourism on a global scale, the impact of tourism on the industry, and how tourism will contribute to environmental protection. Tourism will have a negative impact if tourist usage levels are within tolerance and higher than the environment's ability to respond to such use. Uncontrolled traditional tourism poses a potential threat to many natural areas of the world. It places great pressure on the area and causes such as soil erosion, increased pollution, discharge to the ocean, loss of natural habitats, increased pressure on endangered species, and vulnerability to forest fires. It often exerts pressure on water resources. And it can force local people to compete for key resources.
Climate change has a big impact on sightseeing. There is growing concern that it will be a threat of billions of dollars invested in tourism. There are many tourism activities around the world. These activity facilities were established based on weather and natural resources. One type of sightseeing depends on snow. For example, skiing is one of the most popular activities tourists want to do. In extremely cold areas, if the area is a mountainous area, that area is suitable for skiing related sports. Entrepreneurs have invested millions of dollars in this geographical weather. These businesses depend heavily on snowfall. However, global warming puts the industry at risk. Snow melts fast. Low altitude ski resorts are strongly influenced by climate change
According to Tourism World Tourism Organization (WTO) (2005), tourism is one of the greatest contributors to global economic and employment growth. The role of accommodation in the tourism industry is equally important. Callon, Miles and Muniesa (2007: 21) argue that "the accommodation sector is one of the most important sectors of the tourism industry." In fact, accommodation is the largest and most ubiquitous sub-sector in the tourism industry. Accommodation is an integral part of tourism products and not the largest and most common sub-sector in the tourism economy (Cooper et al., 1998: 313). Accommodation costs usually account for about one-third of total travel expenses, which is also an important part of travel experience (Cooper et al., 1998). This also directly affects the ability of the destination to survive in the competitive international tourism market.
