The story of the canal is a symbolic story of the interests of people and businesses. In the early 20th century, Hook Chemical Company (now Western Oil Company) planted 21,000 tons of toxic waste in the Love Canal district of Niagara Falls, New York. In 1953, Hook sold the land to Niagara Falls for 1 dollar, informing the existence of toxic waste in the meantime, and then building a house. And the school eventually was built in that place.
To some extent, most of the people's lives are spent on storytelling. From a very young age, we like listening to stories, and as we get older they become increasingly strong. There are people who can not remember the forbidden fruits, Little Red Riding Hood, and other notorious classic stories. The idea that these (thousands of years) stories have been inherited from generation to generation is highly convincing. How can you remember what you did two days ago, but have you forgotten the story of 1000 years? Okay, as I realized that the story got completely inspired by our senses, they imagine, elaborate, and remind our brains. According to Stanford, the story that people remember is 22 times higher than a single fact. This is why historical stories are used to survive, persuade and guide.
It is written in the 1950s and is an elderly man who loves the story of a young girl in the distance. Even today's society, you can imagine people's reactions to older narrators who convey the temptation of this teenage girl to him. This makes sense, why in the 1950's this story caused hell. To be honest, this book is ranked # 1 in my favorite book. If you have not read it yet, be sure to read it. It is far from the "eerie and inappropriate" story drawn in my summary. The narrator is dark and funny, it will surprise you with laughter, such unpleasant things can be very materially enriching
