The Romantic Period

In the romantic era of Romanticism there were many starting points and forms; therefore, to the famous thesis "discrimination of romanticism" (1924), A.O. Lovejoy believes that the word "romantic" should no longer be used. It already means a lot and it does not make sense in itself. Origin of the word "romanticism" has clear, generally accepted information useful for understanding its meaning. The romantic era began in the middle of the 18th century and continued until the 19th century.
