The role of Wiglaf in the seemingly important role of Beowulf Wiglaf plays a central role in Beowulf's conclusion. Wiglaf was a young knight who had never seen a fight and advanced at a dangerous moment to help his protagonist, hero, and his cousin Beowulf. He failed in the fight and died, after all, Beowulf showed himself to be a proud and dead man and therefore he began to move the position of the hero from an old king to a young knight . The narrator argues that Wiglaf is still worthy of his sudden benefits, even though Wiglaf's intentions seem to be a problem.

Heroic poetry In the first part of Beowulf, the young hero Hrothgar is helped by the young hero Beowulf. However, in the second part, Beowulf himself is an old king and is helped by Wiglaf. The problem is that Wiglaf is exactly a true Anglo-Saxon warrior, or like Beowulf, he can be called a superhero. In this article we will analyze this problem by comparing the apostrophe used in Beowulf and Wiglaf. It is clear that Beowulf has various nicknames.

As Beowulf himself said, Wiglaf is a nobleman, Waymundings (ll. 2813 - 14 a). In the fight with the Dragon, Wegraf indicated that he would not betray his legacy. Wiglaf himself did not mention the decisive role in fighting the dragon, but the poet revealed that they defeated the monster together: after his master died, Wiglaf is in action . He immediately took over control: he gave a strict lecture about their failure to the widow (ll. 2864 - 91) and ordered the messenger to bring the news to the camp (l. 2892). According to his order, his rules seem to be undoubtedly accepted. When he ordered the soldiers who had their hall under Beowulf to carry trees to the mountain of funeral, they did it (ll. 3110 - 14 a). This not only indicates that Beowulf is the beloved leader, it also shows that Wiglaf's succession to the throne was accepted by his colleagues.
