Child abuse is a major problem affecting children of all gender, age, race, religion, class. It can usually be defined as "non-accidental physical, sexual or mental harm or ignorance caused by a basic dropout of a child's parent or caregiver" (Colorado Department of Education, 1998) . Due to various factors, it is impossible to narrow down the cause of child abuse to a single cause. Today, teachers have an important and unique position as they have to understand laws and regulations in order to discover and report examples of suspicion of child abuse.
The abuse and neglect cases of about 3 million children reported each year involve nearly 5.5 million children. Most of the cases reported to child protection services involve negligence, subsequent physical and sexual abuse. There are considerable overlap among abused children, many of which are physical abuse, sexual abuse, and / or neglect. Sexual abuse is any sexual activity that a child can neither understand nor agree. It includes caress, oral - genital contact, genitalia and anal sex. Expressionism, voyeurism, pornography are also included. According to the survey, one in four girls and one in eight boys will receive sexual abuse before becoming 18 years old.
Today, in the United States, child abuse is the largest part of child abuse and nearly two thirds of reported child protection services litigation is ignored (Dubowitz). Prior to the 1970s, child abuse was mainly called physical abuse, but now it includes physical abuse, emotional abuse and sexual abuse (Compton). Physical abuse means that a child is injured by striking an adult (Compton), boxing, kicking or receiving other forms of violence. This kind of abuse can only do harm to children, but that is terrible and may have long-term consequences, but usually only brings about violence. Emotional abuse is to express adults' hatred by calling adult names.
There are four forms of child abuse, including negligence, physical abuse, emotional abuse and sexual abuse. The most common forms of child abuse are ignored. According to Longman's dictionary, "ignorance is not paying enough attention or ignoring." This means that parents and carers can not provide important needs to children. If the child is not in sanitary condition, clothing is dirty and old, not suitable for age or weather. In many cases, it is not a school. Always sick, without medical aid, malnutrition and isolation from others can be ignored. Such signs of neglect are observed mainly by people in close contact with children such as teachers, doctors, nurses, neighbors etc. They often have something to do with doubting and reporting children's negligence. Ignoring there are three forms of physical ignorance, emotional ignorance and educational ignorance. Physical ignorance is most abused among children
